This is a special page dedicated to introduce the new Bacchus “RSM” lineup that uses Roasted Maple for its models and which will be released next fall!
Roasted maple is a material that has increased rigidity thanks to a process in which the maple is heated at high temperatures to volatilize water and oils in the material. The advantages and features of using it as a guitar neck material are the following.
Even after the guitar is finished, the wood gradually dries up, and as time passes, it stabilizes as a material, and it becomes difficult for problems such as warping, which hinder the performance of the guitar, occur. Such changes over time are called secular changes. Roasted maple is made by heating maple material at a high temperature to artificially bring wood into a state as if it has been aged over a long period of time, and you can play with confidence knowing that the wood is going to be very stable from the get-go.
Roasted maple has a darker brown color that stems from the high-temperature “roasting” process itself.
Global Series

We are using Flame Maple for the neck of the global series RSM models and, as we can expect of this process, we get as a result a dark-brown chocolate color.
The neck of the Universe series has a shallower roast compared to the global series models.

The tone of the instrument is also improved in the same way that it would improve throughout years of usage thanks to the roasting process. It produces a “withered” tone like that of a vintage guitar that has cultivated its sound over time. Please give the demonstration video on the bottom of the page a listen.
